Greetings,

BulletinCover Welcome to all the new newsletter recipients this month. Thank you to everyone that has told their friends about this free publication.

This month is the 8th article in my "Keep it
Simple" tour of the convention card. Also
herein are various deals I've played recently along with pieces of my personal bridge news.
Through the Convention Card (Part 8)
Convention Card
This is the eighth part in an ongoing tour of
the convention card.

In previous months, we've slogged our way
through the one level. This month and next
are part of the one-level wrap-up.

A Better September 11
Sep 11 Game For ACBL (North American) Readers

Next month, on that infamous date of
September 11, the ACBL holds its Instant
Matchpoint Game with gold points at the club.
I've written the analysis booklet and
everyone who plays will get it as part of the
entry fee.

Sorry, but I won't be reporting in my newsletters on any of those deals until after September 11.
From the Tournament Trail
Springfield, Mo teamWhen I play in a tournament, I always find
deals that pique my interest.

Such was the case at the June regional in
Springfield, Missouri. To read my 3 favorite
deals, click here.

Grand Asia Bridge Cruise 2009
Seven Seas Mariner I know that 99% of my readers aren't about to take an expensive luxury Far East bridge cruise.

But, I'd appreciate any mentions you can give
to friends that are interested. They will not be disappointed! I guarantee the time of their life--click here for details.

Don't Fight the Computer
Datainput Looking at all 52 cards, a computer plays
bridge better than any human.

This fact makes for some interesting
analyses. One deal that caught my attention
(advanced-level) is here.

Next month we'll continue our way through the
convention card and have a report on the Summer
Nationals from Las Vegas.

Sincerely,

Larry Cohen
